Privacy statement
Springcast is GDPR-compliant, EU-hosted in the Netherlands, and built privacy-first. This statement explains what we process, why, and the rights you have.

What we process

- ✓ Usage and analytics data to operate and improve the service

Lawful bases
We process personal data to perform our contract with you, to pursue legitimate interests (securing and improving the platform), and on the basis of consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies).
Where your data lives
All data is stored and processed in the Netherlands, within the EU. No podcast data is transferred to the US for core platform functionality.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

A full Data Processing Agreement is available, and we maintain a public sub-processor register.
Our vision of privacy
We are a stakeholder-focused company: we weigh the interests of everyone affected by our decisions. Your privacy, and that of your listeners, matters to us, so we are as transparent as possible about what we do with your data. We use data solely to benefit our stakeholders or, at the very least, to avoid causing harm. We never sell or share your privacy-sensitive data with third parties.

- ✓ Google Ads tracking — anonymously measures which ad clicks lead to a purchase. Privacy & GDPR docs →
- ✓ FirstPromoter — tracks referrals from our affiliates and partners. Privacy policy →
- ✓ YouTube (optional) — only if you connect a Google account via OAuth, to enable features you turn on (e.g. upload to your channel, channel/video analytics). We do not sell Google user data, use it for targeted advertising, or train AI models on it. You can disconnect in Springcast or revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Retention & contact
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as required by law. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us.
