The hosting problems nobody talks about

Publishing takes 45 minutes

After recording, editing and exporting, you still spend 45 minutes uploading, copying metadata and submitting to each platform by hand.

Upload once, write metadata once, hit distribute. Every platform within hours.

Your player looks like their player

Most hosts give you an embed with their colors and logo, so listeners see the host, not your show.

Your colors, your logo, your show. The player reflects your brand.

Migration feels like a hostage negotiation

Broken RSS feeds, lost subscribers, vanished stats, some hosts make leaving so painful you stay out of inertia.

Import your show yourself in minutes; point a 301 redirect from your old host and you lose nothing.

You don't know where your data lives

Your host's privacy page says "AWS" and leaves the rest to you. For a European creator, that's a compliance question.

Hosted in the Netherlands. EU. Always.

Honest comparison

Springcast vs. the alternatives

We could tell you we're the best at everything. We're not. Here's what we offer compared to three platforms you're probably considering. Where they're stronger, we'll say so.

Where they win, credit is due. Buzzsprout has one of the friendliest onboarding experiences in podcasting. If you've never hosted a show before, their setup wizard is genuinely good. Transistor's interface is clean and minimal. If you want a no-frills dashboard with zero clutter, they deliver. Captivate has strong customization and a growing feature set.

Where Springcast wins: EU data residency, social attribution analytics, AI/MCP integration, ISO 27001 certification, and full GDPR compliance without workarounds. If any of those matter to you (and if you're European or work with European audiences, they probably should), that's where the comparison shifts.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Unlimited. On every plan. There are no per-episode fees, no monthly upload caps, and no storage limits within fair use. Whether you publish once a week or five times a day, the price doesn't change.
Not yet. Custom domains are not available at the moment. Your show gets an auto-generated show page with your own branding, colors and logo, that you can link from your website and channels.
Yes. Upload a video file and Springcast distributes it to YouTube Podcasts alongside your audio platforms. Audio-only episodes can still reach YouTube: YouTube itself generates the visual from your show artwork.
Apple Podcasts: typically 1-4 hours after publishing. Spotify: typically 1-2 hours. YouTube Podcasts: 4-12 hours. Note: the very first episode of a brand-new show may take 24-72 hours while the platform completes its initial review.
Yes. Schedule releases down to the minute. Scheduled times are always set in the Europe/Amsterdam time zone (CET/CEST), so plan accordingly if your audience is elsewhere. You can also set up recurring schedules for series with a fixed release pattern.
Your show, including the RSS feed and podcast website, stays active until your subscription expires. After that, the RSS feed, the podcast website and the show in Springcast are no longer accessible. Planning to switch hosts? Import your show at the new host and complete the move before your end date.
No. Springcast doesn't have a free tier. We offer a 14-day free trial instead, with full access to all features on the plan you choose. After the trial, plans start at €9/mo (excl. VAT). The reason: free tiers are usually funded by ads on your show or by selling listener data. We don't do either.
Yes. You run the import yourself in minutes: all published episodes, metadata, artwork and show notes are imported (chapters and transcripts are not part of an RSS import). Then set the 301 redirect from your old feed at Spotify for Podcasters, and every app follows. Importing is available on every plan, including during your trial.
Real podcasters. Real results.
