Your analytics aren't telling you enough

Downloads are a vanity metric

A download count tells you something happened, not who listened or whether they stayed.

You get context around the number, not just the number.

You can't show your boss who's listening

A download count and a country chart don't survive a quarterly review.

Show that 32% are Marketing Directors at 100 to 500-person companies.

You don't know what works

Episode 12 got 800 downloads, episode 13 got 200, and you have no idea why.

Retention, episode comparison and source attribution replace the guessing.

Your analytics live in three different tools

You spend more time assembling hosting, website and social data than reading it.

One dashboard shows who listened, from where, how long and what brought them.

Audience

Not just how many downloads. How many people, and whether they come back.

See unique listeners and the split between new and returning, so you know whether your audience is genuinely growing. For listeners who arrive via your LinkedIn share, social attribution adds aggregated, anonymized professional context, never individual profiles. It can move the B2B conversation from "400 downloads" to "a senior-marketer audience."

Retention

See the exact moment your audience checks out.

Retention curves show what percentage of your audience is still listening at every second of every episode. That 25% drop at minute three? Your intro is too long.

How we compare

Springcast vs. the rest: analytics feature-by-feature

Let's be straightforward. Most podcast hosts offer IAB 2.1 compliant download tracking. That's table stakes, not a differentiator. Where platforms diverge is what happens after the download count: retention, social attribution, and data residency. That's the comparison that matters.

Questions

Frequently asked about analytics

From Professional, you see unique listeners and the split between new and returning, alongside retention, geography and device data. Social attribution, which adds aggregated professional context for listeners who arrive via your LinkedIn share, is included from the Scale plan. You can try the analytics during your 14-day free trial.
The professional context comes from social attribution: it applies to listeners who arrive via a LinkedIn share, not your whole audience. Coverage depends on how much you promote on LinkedIn; for active B2B shows it's typically a quarter to a half of total listeners. It's always aggregated and anonymized, and we show what share of your audience it represents. Available from the Scale plan.
